1. Yellow-barred Parrotfish (Scarus dimidiatus): Characterized by its blue cheek and blue snout, this species of parrotfish lives in reefs of Indonesia. It primarily feed on algae. 2. Goldspotted spinefoot (Siganus punctatus): A silver fish with spotted orange spots. It has moderately poisonous spines. Only the adults live in coral reefs. Feeds on benthic algae. Secondary 1. devil ray or the giant manta (manta birotris): A ray that primarily eats plankton but also feeds on various small fish. Biggest ray in the world. 2. crown of thorns starfish: a carnivorous asteroid starfish that primarily preys on coral. It has had destructive effect on the coral reefs. Tertiary 1. giant triton: a large mollusk that feeds on starfish and other mollusks. Feeds on crown of thorns starfish. 2. whitetip reef shark (triaedon obesus): They are nocturnal animals. They primarily feed on benthic animals such as octopi, lobsters, fish and crabs. |
